The Da Vinci Code - Quest Solution (4 of 24)

Alas, Day 4 of 24 in the Da Vinci Code Challenge. I hope this is going to get more interesting quickly. I am starting to get bored with these grade school rearrange the pieces puzzles. If you haven't picked up on it yet Google and Sony have partnered up to market the new movie with Tom Hanks, "The Da Vinci Code".

“The symbol shown on Sophie Neveu (pictured at left) is called what?” The answer that appears after the pictures are correctly hung is Chalice.

I will more than likely regret asking for harder puzzles near the end of these 3+ weeks, but for right now I am just bored. Hopefully we can put our minds to work with tomorrow’s chess challenge.

Go to the movie's official Sony site if you're stumped. It's flash-based and slow, but if you poke around you can find answers to the first few puzzles at least.

Yes the website for the symbols at the end is http://www.SoDarkTheConOfMan.com . If you are having trouble with the puzzles, leave me a contact email and I will be happy to help you solve them.

Posting the solutions (even the first level elementary puzzles) defeats the purpose of the quest. It's like Trebek holding up the question right after he reads the answer, and the person who gets the points is the first person to read it and buzz in.

I thought this was supposed to be fun, challenging, and deliver a sense of accomplishment as we progress through. But sharing the answers with everyone, it lessons all of those.

At the very least, maybe you could just offer hints, or stategies, still forcing people to think, instead of just giving them the answer to type.

Dave,
Those who wish to enjoy the fun and challenge in the puzzle will solve it without looking for a solution.

I imagine there are also a few users who cannot, for one reason or another install flash on their system. By posting screen shots and the questions/solutions they can follow along with the puzzles each day.

Also, keep in mind that there are many variations of the puzzles offered. The solution I give for a puzzle may not apply to another users puzzle.
