The Da Vinci Code - Quest Solution (10 of 24)

Here it is folks, the 10th puzzle and solution. The difficulty of the puzzle definitely increased today. The questions were vague and the answers required some finesse to get them worded in the correct form. For instance, I am certain most of you saw the first answer in the video, but weren’t exactly sure what shape or word properly described the object. For the second question, more than likely your first guess was water which would have been wrong, and by the third question you were probably just stumped and irritated.

A seemingly-important stone object is extracted from the ground by Silas.
What is its shape? Octagon

An interesting viewpoint is that vantage point from which we last see Silas.
What is the last thing we see him touch? Holy Water

During the action in the video, we see many things shattered and destroyed, but what is it that will ultimately be broken? Silence

I apologize for not being able to actively participate in today's challenge due to the circumstances mentioned earlier. I also want to apologize for closing the comments down to registered users only. Please do consider registering to continue participating in the commentary and sharing your solutions with other readers (it only takes a few seconds to register).

I also need to thank the loyal visitors who promptly stepped up and kindly submitted the answers for the puzzles. Specifically I want to thank mcian for providing the first two answers, and Nicholas Ramey for providing the answer to the third question shortly after my original post. Thanks Guys!!

My attempts were like, star of isis, venus star, octogram, etc. etc....THANK YOU!!! Now I know where to come to when I get stuck... :)

I got stuck on silence -___-" I think this kind of challenge is the most boring... Hm. Shame on those evil bashing and threatening people! >__<; I didn't know it was a federal crime... There's a ton of people that I know could sue now =0

This puzzle was the lamest so far.

The shape of the object does not have eight sides -- it has eight points with connecting arcs!

My second clue talked about the last thing Silas touches -- which in the video is his forehead after he touches the holy water in the font.

As for the last clue, I had no chance. I had to listen to the video muted because I was at work!

This was the first challenge that got me stuck. I agree, octogon is a misleading answers. It was my first guess, but then when I thought about the curved sides, I though nah, can't be right. After learning (through this blog) that the third answer was "silence" and then rewatching the video I got it. The voice over says it, but I was so busy looking at the images, I didn't pay attention to the sound.

This last chalenges was extremely easy, i mean it tok me a total of 67 seconds to complete it (i always time myself) and that while i was being distracted.

It is true the object does not seem to be an octagon, but it has eight points symmetrical to eachother, so it was not hard to gues the first possibility.

The last thing he touched it was holy water (what a weird cammera angle by the way) he does turn his hand towards his forhead but it is nt easy to see from the waves in the water

The last one was easy, all you had to do is listen "silence will br broken" was the last thing the narrator said, so it was a no brainer

They should really try to make these harder

Thanks for your blog!

OMG! Something's wierd. I played this game the second it popped up on my Google page yesterday (I was online, it wasn't there one minute, I reloaded, and then it was there). I watched the video, and put in "Octagon" for the first answer, answered the rest and got "Only 2 of your answers are correct". For the following hour, I tried everything I could think of for #1: Octagram, Wheel, Web, etc, and it kept saying: "Only two are correct"... I came to this Blog as a last resort, and saw that the answer was "Octagram", tried it and it WORKED!"

FONT also works for the 2nd answer
